A message from Kathleen Collins: Thank you for putting up this blog, it has been a huge help to me. Our law office was severely damaged by flood water as a result of Hurricane Ike. Our building is located in the East-End historic district of Galveston Island. Unfortunately, the East-End was heavily hit during the storm. Our law office had around 6-7 feet of water, repairs are underway. We lost: all office furniture, all office supplies, our beautiful wood floors, 8 feet of sheet rock, art, telephones, most of the computer equipment, printers, copiers, fax machines, etc., what a mess. We were in the process of going to a paperless office, so hopefully the majority of our client files will be retrieved. My house was also damaged by flood water. My children and I are at my brother's house in Kansas while repairs to our home are made.
